1608 - Elizabeth Hall was born in February, daughter of Dr. John Hall and Susanna Hall, first granddaughter of William Shakespeare. She was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford on February 21, 1608.

 

1629 - Elizabeth married Thomas Nash on April 22, 1629. They were married for just six years when in 1635 Thomas Nashe died. Elizabeth married again.

 

1649 - Her second marriage was to Sir John Bernard and so Elizabeth received the title Lady Elizabeth Bernard. Although she inherited the family estate and was married twice Elizabeth had no children of her own.

 

1670 - Lady Elizabeth Hall Bernard died on February 17, 1670. She was buried in the parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Abington, Northampton. She was the last direct descendant of William Shakespeare. With her death ends the direct line of William Shakespeare.
