Gill, Brendan
1914 - Born on October 4th in Hartford, Connecticut. American critic and writer chiefly known for his work as critic of film, drama, and architecture for The New Yorker.
1936 - Married to Anne Barnard.
- Gill began writing for The New Yorker immediately after finishing college at Yale University.
1960-1967 - His witty essays often appeared anonymously in the magazine's Talk of the Town column, and he served as staff film critic.
1968 - Was a drama critic for "The New Yorker".
1997 - Died on December 27th in New York, New York.
