429 - When she was seven, Geneviève was induced by Bishop St. Germain of Auxerre to dedicate herself to the religious life.

451 - When Attila threatened Paris, she persuaded the inhabitants to remain, assuring them that the attack would be inconsequential; Attila's army went on to Orléans, 70 miles (110 km) from Paris, and was defeated.

460 - Geneviève is reported to have had great influence over King Childeric I of the Salian Franks and to have had a church built over the tomb of Saint Denis, patron saint of France.

512 - Geneviève died in 512. She was buried in the Church of the Holy Apostles, popularly known as the Church of Sainte-Geneviève.
