1902 - Born on April 3rd. He was a Nazi spy master, one of Hitler's chief intelligence officers.

1920-1930 - He entered the German Staff College and was later on promoted to captain.

1940 - He became a liaison officer and was promoted to Major.

1941 - Was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

1944 - Was promoted to Major General.

1948 - Gehlen was awarded the Grand Cross of Merit by the Knights of Malta.

1956-1968 - He became director of the BND, West Germany's intelligence agency.

1979 - Died on June 8th.
