Garfunkel, Arthur Ira

1941 - Garfunkel was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, in New York City on the 5th of November.

1956-1962 - He and his partner performed together as Tom & Jerry. Garfunkel received his bachelor's degree majoring in art history.

1964 - He and Simon released their first album entitled Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. on Columbia Records in October.

1969 - After finishing their album entitled Bridge Over Troubled Water. The duo splitted after personal differences and divergence in career interests.

1970 - He also entered the movie industry and appeared in the movie Catch-22.

1972 - He married Linda Grossman.

1973 - Released his solo album entitled Angel Clare.

1975 - Released his second solo album entitled Breakaway.

1977 - Released his third solo album entitled Watermark.

1979 - Released his fourth solo album entitled Fate for Breakfast.

1981 - Released his fifth solo album entitled Scissors Cut.

1988 - After his failed marriage with Grosman, he married his second wife, Kim on the 18th of September.

1989 - Released his collection album entitled Garfunkel.

1997 - He released his album entitled Songs from a Parent to a Child.

2003 - Garfunkel made his debut as a songwriter on his well-received Everything Waits to Be Noticed album. He was reunited with Simon for a tour.
