Gaitskell, Hugh Todd Naylor

1906 - Born on the 9th of April in London, England.

1927 - He gained degree of Philosophy, Politics and Economics at New College, Oxford in United Kingdom.

1930 - He was head of the Department of Political Economy at University College, London.

1945 - He became Labour Member of Parliament (MP) for Leeds South (a parliamentary constituency).

1950 - He was appointed as a Chancellor of the Exchequer (title held by the British Cabinet Minister responsible

            for all economic and  financial matters).

1955 - He became the leader of Labour Party (a political party of United kingdom).

1963 - He died at the age of 57 on the 18th of January.
