Fuller, Ray W.
1935 - Ray W. Fuller, born in Dongola, Illinois. A biochemist specializing in neuroscience.
1985 - An adjunct professor in neurobiology at The Indiana University School of Medicine.
1986 - He received the SIUC Alumni Achievement Award.
1988 - Was a co-discoverer of the most widely used antidepressant drug, Prozac.
1989 - He also accomplished many other outstanding scientific achievements, becoming a Lilly Research Fellow.
1990 - He received two honorary doctorate degrees, one from Purdue University.
1994 - Recieved one honorary doctorate Degrees from Southern Illinois University.
- He received another SIUC Alumni Achievement Award.
1996 - Died this year.
1997 - He was inducted into the Department of Chemistry Alumni Hall of Fame.
