1942 - Born on July 13th in Chicago, Illinois. An Academy Award-nominated American actor. 1959 - Was the first student voice heard on the high school radio station, WMTH-FM where he was also their first sportscaster during his senior year. The radio room still bears his graffiti. 1960 - Graduated from Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois, where he claims he was picked on by bullies and ignored by girls and also voted "Boy Least Likely to Succeed". 1964 - Moved to Los Angeles, California, where he signed a contract with Columbia Pictures for $150 a week in the studio's New Talent program, playing bit roles in films.          - Married to Mary Marquardt. 1966 - His first film appearance was in "Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round", where he had an uncredited role. 1967 - His son, Benjamin, with wife Mary was born.          - His next film he was credited as "Harrison J. Ford" in western, "A Time For Killing", but the "J" didn't stand for anything because he does not have a middle name. 1968 - He was a crew member of "The Doors" for their taped concert held at the Hollywood Bowl and operated one of the four cameras. 1969 - His second son, Willard was born. 1973 - Turned to acting again when George Lucas, who had hired him to build cabinets in his home, cast him in a pivotal supporting role for his film "American Graffiti". 1975 - Director George Lucas, who had previously worked with him in "American Graffiti", used him to read lines for actors being cast for parts in his film Star Wars, later renamed Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.          - It was Steven Spielberg who first noticed that Ford was well suited for the part of Han Solo. Harrison landed the role of Han Solo, a role which shot him to fame. 1979 - Ford co-starred alongside Gene Wilder in "The Frisco Kid", playing a bank robber with a heart of gold.          - Divorced Mary Marquardt. 1980 - Starred as Indiana Jones in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and its three sequels to date, which turned him into a blockbuster phenomenon. Ford's authenticity as a daring action hero was supported by his willingness to perform many of his own stunts for the Indiana Jones trilogy. 1983 - Married to Melissa Mathison, screenwriter on the 14th of March. 1987 - His son, Malcolm Ford was born on the 10th of March. 1990 - His daughter, Georgia Ford was born on the 30th of June. 2000 - Received the Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. 2001 - Mathison filed for legal separation on 23rd of August.          - The edition of the Guinness Book of Records listed Ford as the richest actor alive: his reported salary for the flop "K-19: The Widowmaker" was $25 million. 2003 - Received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the Kodak Theatre at 6801 Hollywood Blvd on the 2nd of June. 2004 - Declined a chance to star in the thriller "Syriana". The role eventually went to George Clooney, who won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his work.          - Subsequent divorce with Mathison on January has become one of the most expensive in Hollywood history.
