Fletcher, John Gould

1939 - He won the Pulitzer Prize.
1946 - The Burning Mountain.
1937 - He wrote his autobiography, Life is My Song.
1947 - He published Arkansas, a beautifully written history of his home state.
1936 - On the 18th of January, he married a noted author of children's books, Charlie May Simon.
1950 - Fletcher suffered from depression and on 20th of May, committed suicide by drowning in a pond near his home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
