1967 - John William Ferrell was born in Irvine, California to Lee Ferrell, a keyboardist for "The Righteous Brothers" and wife Kay Overman on the 16th of July.

1991 - He signed up for workshops for The Groundlings improve group. After a fews months, he was invited to be a Groundlings himself, and worked for Chris Kattan and Anna Gasteyer.

1995 - Ferrell joined Saturday Night Live, he was chosen over future co-star Steve Carell.

2000 - Married Swedish actress Viveca Paulin on August, whom he met in an acting class in 1995.

2004 - First born son Magnus Paulin Ferrell was born on the 7th of March.

2006 - Ferrell announced that he would make a book entitled "Will Ferrell, The Comedy Revealed!", on the 19th of December.

        - His wife Paulin gave birth to another son, Mattias Ferrell, 2 a.m. on the 30th of December.
