Fermat, Pierre de

1601 - Fermat was born in Toulous, France on the 17th of August.

1621 - He created Fermat's theorem after studying Pell's equation.

1625 - He created the principle of infinite descent and Fermat's factorization method.

1628 - He created the two-square theorem, and the polygonal number theorem.

1632 - He was the first to evaluate the integral of general power functions.

1665 - He died in Castres on the 12th of January.
