1962 - Emilio Estévez, born on the 12th of May in New York, New York. The son of Martin Sheen and brother to Charlie Sheen, he is a part of an American acting dynasty. He, using his father's original last name, has tried to make a name for himself separate from his famous family. He is an American actor, director and writer.

1982 - He made his film debut in the coming-of-age drama Tex starring Matt Dillon.

1983 - He again appeared with Dillon in The Outsiders, based on the book by S. E. Hinton.

1984 - 1985 - He moved on to starring roles in Repo Man and The Breakfast Club.

1987 - 1990 - He tried his hand at comedy with several films, including Stakeout and Men at Work with brother Charlie.

1992 -  He starred in the family friendly The Mighty Ducks, playing the coach of an ice hockey team.

         - Married Paula Abdul, a singer, dancer, and choreographer. The union ended in divorce two years later.

2006 - Has spent more time behind the camera directing. He has worked on episodes of such shows as Cold Case, CSI: NY, and Close to Home.
