Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon

1900 - Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was born 4th of August in london.

1921 - Prince Albert, or "Bertie" to the family, proposed to Elizabeth.

1923 - Elizabeth agreed to marry Bertie, despite her misgivings about royal life.

     - They married on 26 April, at Westminster Abbey. 

1926 - Elizabeth born her first child, Elizabeth, who would later become Queen Elizabeth II.

1938-1939 - Elizabeth and her husband became the first reigning King and Queen to visit Canada and the United States.

1952 - King George VI died of lung cancer. Shortly afterward, Elizabeth began to be styled "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother".

2002 - On 13 February 2002, at Sandringham House, the Queen Mother fell and cut her arm.
