1813 - He obtained a secretarial appointment under the war department.
1817 - He was enabled to attend the gymnasium.
1822 - He left as a student of law in the University of Göttingen, Germany.
1830 - He traveled to Italy.
1837 - He wrote his book the "Conversations with Goethe".
1838 - He was given the title of grand-ducal councillor and appointed as a librarian.
1854 - Died on the 3rd of December in Weimar, Germany.
