1636 - Eachard was born in Suffolk, England.

 

1651 - Educated at Saint Catharine's College, Cambridge.

 

1670 - Eachard published anonymously a humorous satire entitled The Ground and Occasions of the Contempt of the Clergy enquired into in a letter to a certain R.L., attributed the contempt into which the clergy had fallen to their imperfect education, their insufficient incomes, and the want of a true vocation.

 

1675 - Educated at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, of which he became master in succession to John Lightfoot.

 

1676 - He was created D.D. by royal mandate.

 

1679 - Served as vice-chancellor of Cambridge University.

 

1670 - Published anonymously a humorous satire entitled The Ground and Occasions of the Contempt of the Clergy.

 

1697 - John Eachard died on 7th of July.
