1889 - Born on the 19th of September.
Delany was educated at St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, N.C.
1916-1918 - She left the Jim Crow-era South to move to New York, where Bessie joined her.
1918 - Delany enrolled in Teachers College after graduating from Pratt Institute.
1920 - Earned her undergraduate degree.
1923 - Became the first black woman to teach home economics in New York City public schools, at Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx.
1993-1994 - with Bessie Delany, co-wrote memoir "Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years" 1993, collection "The Delany Sisters' Book of Everyday Wisdom" 1994.
1993 - Guinness Book of World Records as the world's oldest authors.
1999 - Sarah Louise Delany died on 25th of January.
