1913 - Born on the 13th of August. He was an English professional snooker and English billiards player.

 

 

1929 - Davis turning professional billiards player.

 

 

1937 - Made his first professional snooker match.

 

 

1948 - Won the snooker World championship.

 

 

1957 - Davis retired leaving the path clear for his rival John Pulman.

 

 

1977 - He was awarded the MBE.

 

 

1978 - Reached the semi-finals of the Embassy World Championship at the age of 64.

 

 

1980-1981 - He won the World Billiards Championship.

 

 

1984 - His last appearance in the Crucible aged 70.

 

 

1992 - He retired.

 

 

1998 - Fred Davis died on 16th of April.
