1943 - Graduated at Princeton University.

 

1946-1948 - Served as the 3rd Secretary-Vice Consul, Jidda, Saudi Arabia.

 

1949-1951 - Became the 2nd Secretary-Vice Consul, Damascus, Syria.

 

1950-1951 - Served as Consul, Beirut, Lebanon.

 

               - He was the Consul, Jerusalem, Israel.

 

1954-1958 - Became the First Secretary-Consul, Benghazi and Tripoli, Libya.

 

1959-1962 - Served as the Counselor, Baghdad, Iraq.

 

1974 - Served as US Ambassador to Cyprus.

 

       - He was shot and killed on 19th of August by EOKA-B snipers during a Greek Cypriot demonstration.  His death came five weeks after a Greek-backed Coup d'etat overthrew the government of Archbishop Makarios and the subsequent invasion of the northern part of the island by Turkey.
