1881 - Darlan was born in Nérac, Lot-et-Garonne, on the 7th of August.
1907 - Graduated from the École Navale.
During World War I, he commanded an artillery battery.
1929 - Promoted to Rear Admiral.
1932 - Became Vice Admiral.
1936 - Darlan was made an Admiral and Chief of Staff.
1939 - He was promoted to 'Amiral de la flotte', a rank created only for him.
1940 - Darlan supported the premiere and head of state, Marshal Henri Philippe Pétain.
1941 - He was replaced Pierre Laval as Pétain's deputy.
1942 - On 24th of December, Fernand Bonnier de La Chapelle, entered Darlan's headquarters in Algiers and he was shot twice. Darlan died a few hours later.
