1751 - Anders Dahl was born on the 17th of March, a Swedish botanist and student of Carolus Linnaeus.
1770 - Dahl entered Uppsala University as a freshman.
He worked in Gothenburg as curator of the private natural museum and botanic garden of Claes Alströmer.
1786 - Received a medical doctor's degree at the University of Kiel, Germany.
1787 - He started to teach medicine and botany at the university in Academy of Åbo.
The dahlia flower is named after him.
