1932 – She was born on the 8th day of September this year in in Winchester, Virginia.

1953 – She was married to contractor Gerald Cline (whom she later divorced) in this year.

1955 – She was signed to Four Star Records, but her contract greatly limited her material, stating that she could record only compositions written by Four Star writers.

1957 – She was a year of great change in Cline's life. Not only did she marry the man she called the love of her life, Charlie Dick, but she skyrocketed to fame.

1960 - - Her contract with Four Star has expired.

1961 – She and her brother Sam were involved in a head-on car collision.

1962 – She becomes the first female Country star to headline a show in Vegas.

1963 – She died at the the age of 30 in a plane crash during the height of her fame.
