Clark, James
1944 - James H. Clark, born in Plainview, Texas. He is a prolific entrepreneur and former computer scientist.
1974 - Earned a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in physics, and then a PhD in computer science from the University of Utah.
1974 - 1978 - He served as an assistant professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
1979 - 1982 - An associate professor of electrical engineering at Stanford University.
1981 - He is a former Stanford University professor, founded Silicon Graphics Inc. and turned it into a leader in the work station market.
1994 - He formed a new company, now named Netscape Communications aimed at producing what he sees as computing's next big trend: navigating cyberspace.
