1946 - Born on October 22nd in New Delhi, India.

1968 - Deepak Chopra attended the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and embarked on a career in western medicine. After graduating, he interned at a New Jersey hospital, trained for several more years at the Lahey Clinic and the University of Virginia Hospital and became board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology.

1970 - He married his wife Rita.

1989 - Wrote "Quantum Healing".

1990 - Wrote "Perfect Health Library: Perfect Digestion, Perfect Weight, Restful Sleep".

1991 - Chopra established the American Association of Ayurvedic Medicine.

         - Wrote " Unconditional Life".

         - Chopra was at the center of controversy, when JAMA (Journal of American Medical Association)  published an article entitled,"Letter From New Delhi: Maharishi Ayur-Veda: Modern Insights into Ancient Medicine," by Hari Sharma, Brihaspati Dev Triguna, and Chopra.

1993 - He is the author of book "Ageless Body, Timeless Mind".

1994 - Forbes magazine attacked him as "the latest in a line of gurus who have prospered by blending pop-science, pop-psychology, and pop-Hinduism".

         - Wrote "Journey Into Healing".

1995 - He opened the Chopra Center for Well Being in La Jolla, California where he serves as educational director.

         - He published the books "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success", "Creating Health" and "Creating Affluence".

1996-1997 - Among his best- selling works are: "The Path to Love", "The Return of Merlin" and "The Way of the Wizard".

1998 - He received the Ig Nobel Prize Physics.

2000 - He was seen in the film "Honest".
