1840 – He was born on the 26th day of January this year at Lowell, Massachusetts.
1860 – He commenced his classical education at Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, and entered college at the being of the fall term, August 24 of this year.
1867 – He studied law, and was admitted to the bar of Hillsborough county, Supreme Court of New Hampshire.
1870 – He was honored by his fellow citizens by an election to the office of Mayor of Seymour, from this year until 1872.
1874 – He declined the re-election at the next term. He was re-elected, and served until 1878. He also married Miss Belle C. Thurston, of Seymour, Indiana this year.
1875 – He was Grand Lecturer in the Grand Lodge of Indiana.
1880 – He was the Republican nominee for Congress from his District, and made an active and laborious canvass.
1884 – He was the Illustrious Grand Master for this year.
