1330 - Born in Sweden. Swedish abbess and saint.
- She was the daughter of an even more famous woman-Saint Bridget (Birgitta) of Sweden.
1348 - She went to Rome, where her mother had gone after the death of Catherine's father.
1350 - Catherine was married to Egard Lydersson von Kyren, who died shortly after she left for Rome to join Bridget as her constant companion.
1373 - She did not return to Sweden until after Bridget's death.
- Catherine entered a monastery at Vatzan, where after a life of severe penance.
- Catherine became superior of the order.
1381 - Died on March 24th.
1484 - She was venerated as a saint by Pope Innocent VIII.
