1975 - Born on May 10th in in São Paulo, Brazil. 

1989 - Was the Brazilian National Go-Kart Champion.

1991 - Competed in World Cup Go-Kart Championship in Europe.

1992 - Was a runner-up in the British Formula Vauxhall Championship

1993 - Was a runner-up in the South American Formula 3 Championship with four wins and three pole positions.

1994 - Competed in the Brazilian Formula 3 and British Formula 3 Series.

         - A runner-up in the Brazilian Championship with four wins and four pole positions.

1995 - British Formula 3 Series Championship with six top-two finishes.

1996-1997 - Participated in the Indy Lights Series.

1998-1999 - One pole position and two podium finishes (Bettenhausen Motorsports & Hogan Racing).

2000 - Claimed three wins, two pole positions and four podium finishes (Penske Racing).

         - Won the Indianapolis 500.

2001 - Won three times, three poles positions and four podium finishes; Indy Racing League: one win (Indianapolis 500).

2002 - Indy Racing League and a runner-up in the Driver’s Championship with two wins (Indianapolis 500), one pole position.

2003 - Indy Racing League finished third in Series Championship with two wins, three pole positions (Indianapolis).

2004 - Indy Racing League was placed fourth in Series Championship with one win, five pole positions.

2005 - Indy Racing League where he placed sixth in Series Championship with one win, two pole positions.

2006 - Indy Racing League finished third in Series Championship with four wins, six pole positions.
