Carney, Arthur William Matthew
1918 - Born on November 4th in Mount Vermont, New York. American actor.
1936 - Graduated from A. B. Davis High School, in Mount Vernon.
1940 - Married to Jean Myers on August 15th.
1950 - Carney first became interested in The Honeymooners at the suggestion of writers Arne Rosen and Coleman Jacoby, who were then writing for Jackie Gleason on DuMont's Cavalcade of Stars.
1962 - He rejoined The Honeymooners for guest spots on 'The American Scene Magazine'.
1965 - He starred in the Broadway play "The Odd Couple".
1966 - Married to Barbara Isaac on December 21st.
1969 - Was nominated for Broadway's Tony Award as Best Actor (Dramatic) for Brian Friel's "Lovers".
1974 - He starred in the movie, "Harry and Tonto".
1980 - Married to Jean Myers.
1984 - His role in the telefilm Terrible Joe Moran won him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Special.
2003 - Died on November 9th in Westbrook, Connecticut.
- He was inducted in to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Hall of Fame.
