Campion, Jane

1954 - Born on the 30th of April in Wellington, New Zealand. She was a New Zealand movie director and screenwriter.

He attended the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

1982 - Her first short film, Peel that won the Palme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

1983 - Directed Passionless Moments and Girls Own Story (1984).

1989 - Her feature debut film "Sweetie" won international awards.

1993 - Directed and wrote movie "The Piano"(Palme d'Or 1993)

        - Won the best director award from the Australian Film Institute and an Oscar for best screenplay.

1996 - The Portrait of a Lady, based on the Henry James novel.

2003 - Directed "In the Cut", an erotic thriller based on Susanna Moore's bestseller.

2006 - She was an executive producer for the documentary Abduction: The Megumi Yokota Story.
