1779 - Born on the 5th of February in Brussels, Belgium. Belgian opera singer, conductor and composer.

         - Worked as an office clerk, but soon pursued a career as a musician.

         - He started a career as a tenor at the Opera in Ghent.

1828 - He ended his career as a singer and became conductor in Brussels.

1830 - Composed the music for the Belgian national anthem, "La Brabanconne".

1848 - François Van Campenhout died in Brussels on 24th of April.
