1969 – He was born this year; he has studied and performed music of West Africa, Bali and Native America, and integrates a wide variety of these musical influences into the sounds of the Sonoran Consort.

 

1995 – He got an award at Jim Highsmith Award from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for his orchestral work, Sinfonietta. 

 

1999 – He was honored at Tucson/Pima Arizona Arts Fellowship. He built a straw-bale house and music studio in the desert near Tucson, Arizona.

 

2003 – He won at the Waging Peace International Composition Special Honor.

 

2006 – He was awarded at the Penfield Music Commission Project Composition Prize.
