1924 - He served from November 13, to December 6, 1926, when a successor was elected; unsuccessful candidate for election to fill the vacancy; chairman, Committee on Patents (Sixty-ninth Congress); resumed his manufacturing interests.
1937 - He died on the 29th of March in Forest Hills Cemetery.
