Busk, George
1807 - Born in August 12th in St. Petersburg, Russia. British surgeon, zoologist and palaeontologist.
1832 - He was appointed assistant-surgeon to the Greenwich Hospital.
1842 - He had assisted in editing the Microscopical Journal.
1850 - He was elected F.R.S. and was an active member of the Linnean, Geological and other societies.
- He received the Royal Society's Royal medal.
1855 - He retired from service and settled in London, where he devoted himself mainly to the study of zoology and palaeontology.
1856 - He was Hunterian professor of comparative anatomy and physiology in the Royal College of Surgeons.
1865 - He edited the Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science and the Natural History Review.
1871 - He became president of the college.
1873 - Became the president of the Anthropological Institute.
- Received the Geological Society's Wollaston and Lyell medals.
1886 - Died on August 10th in London, England.
