1910 - Bunting was born in Brooklyn, New York on the 10th of July.
1931 - Bunting graduated from Vassar College.
1932-1934 - He earned master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in agricultural bacteriology.
1955 - Bunting, a microbiologist, taught and conducted research at Bennington College, Goucher College, Yale University, and Wellesley College before becoming dean, of Douglass College, the women's school at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
1960 - She was president of Radcliffe College.
1961 - She founded Radcliffe Institute for Independent Study (later Bunting Institute).
1964-1965 - She was member of Atomic Energy Commission (1st female member).
1972-1975 - She left Radcliffe and became special assistant to the president of Princeton University.
1998 - She died on the 21st of January.
