Brustein, Robert Sanford
1927 - Born on April 4th in New York City. American drama critic, director and playwright.
1959 - He has served as drama critic at the New Republic.
1965-1979 - He was the Dean of the Yale School of Drama.
- He founded the Yale Repertory Theater.
1994 - He published numerous books of theater criticism and commentary, including The Theatre of Revolt, Who Needs Theatre?, and Dumbocracy in America.
1998 - He wrote the essay collection "Cultural Calisthenics: Writings on Race, Politics, and Theatre".
