Bruhn, Erik Belton Evers

1928 - Born on October 3rd at Copenhagen, Denmark. Danish ballet dancer noted for his outstanding classical technique, who appeared mainly as a guest artist with North American and European companies.
1937 - Bruhn entered the training school for the Royal Danish Ballet.
1947-1949 - He joined the company and was later promoted to soloist.
1963 - He won the Nijinsky Prize.
1964 - He staged La Sylphide for the National Ballet of Canada.
- Bruhn forged a continuing association with the company (and the National Ballet School) as guest artist, choreographer, teacher, resident producer and artistic director.
1967 - He was the director of the Royal Swedish Ballet.
1974 - Recipient of the Diplôme d'honneur of the Canadian Conference of the Arts.
1983 - He became the artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada.
1986 - Died on April 1st at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
