Brown, Henry Billings
1836 - He was born on South Lee, Massachusetts on the 2nd of March.
1856 - He graduated from Yale and received some formal legal training both at Yale and at Harvard, although he did not earn a law degree.
1875 - He served as U.S. Attorney and was appointed to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
1890 - He served in the Supreme Court justice.
1896 - He wrote decisions for Plessy v. Ferguson (8-1, state law requiring "separate but equal" train cars for blacks and whites is constitutional
1913 - He died Bronxville in New York on the 4th of September.
