Bridges, Robert Seymour
Born: Oct 23, 1844 AD
Died: 1930 AD, at 85 years of age.
1844 - Bridges was born in Walmer, Kent on the 23rd of October.
- He was educated at Eton College and Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
1882 - He was afterwards assistant physician at the Children's hospital, Great Ormond Street, and physician at the Great Northern hospital, lung disease forcing him to retiring.
1873 - Bridges' literary work started long before his retirement, with his first collection of poems being published.
1876 - He wrote poetry collections "The Growth of Love".
1884 - He married Monica Waterhouse, daughter of Alfred Waterhouse R.A., and spent the rest of his life in rural seclusion, first at Yattendon, Berkshire, then at Boar's Hill, Oxford
1890-1905 - His best work is to be found in his Shorter Poems and a complete edition of his Poetical Works.
1912 - He wrote poetry collections Collected Poems".
1916 - He wrote poetry collections The Spirit of Man".
1930 - He died on the 21st of April.
