1864 - Born on the 8th of July in New London. He was a United States Representative and Senator from Connecticut.

1885 - Brandegee attended the common schools, and graduated from Yale College.

1888 - He studied law, and was admitted to the bar and practiced in New London.

       - He was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives.

1889-1893 - He was corporation counsel of New London.

1894-1897 - He resigned in those positions.

1899 - He was a member of the State house of representatives.

1901-1902 - Served as speaker; he was again elected corporation counsel of New London.

       - He resigned to become a Member of Congress.

1902-1905 - Brandegee was reelected to the Fifty-eighth and Fifty-ninth Congresses.

1904 - Brandegee was chairman of the Republican state convention and was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-seventh Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Charles A. Russell.

1924 - HE died of suicide on the 14th of October in Washington D.C.
