Bourmont, Louis Auguste Victor de
1773 - Born on September 2nd in château de Bourmont, France. French soldier and politician.
1788-1792 - Bourmont entered the French Guard but fled the French Revolution to join the royalist forces.
1793 - He was a leading figure in the royalist revolt that broke out in the Vendée in western France.
1830 - He was the conqueror of Algiers, for which he received the title of marshal of France.
- He refused allegiance to Louis Philippe on his accession, and was dismissed the service.
1846 - Died on October 27th in château de Bourmont, France.
