Borodin, Alexander Porfiryevich
1833 - He was born on the 31st of October in St. Petersburg, Russia.
1850-1856 - He studied at the Medico-Surgical Academy, specializing in chemistry.
1859 - He studied in western Europe.
1862 - He published on of his research, which described the first nucleophilic displacement of chlorine by fluorine in benzoyl chloride.
1864 - He became adjunct professor of chemistry at the Medico-Surgical Academy and full professor.
1872 - He announced to the Russian Chemical Society the discovery of a new by-product in aldehyde reactions.
- He helped found medical courses for women.
1875 - He published his last full article on reactions of amides and his last publication concerned a method for the identification of urea in animal urine.
1887 - He died on the 15th of February in St. Petersburg.
