Boott, Kirk
1791 - Born on the 20th of October in Boston, Massachusetts. American manufacturer.
- He attended Rugby School in England, and later went to Harvard College.
1817 - He returned to Boston and became involved in the Boston Manufacturing Company at Waltham, Massachusetts.
1818 - Kirk Boott had married Francis Seymour Haden's aunt, Ann Haden.
1822 - Boston Manufacturing Company formed the Merrimack Manufacturing Company and he was sent to Lowell to be the first agent and treasurer.
1835 - The Boott Cotton Mills was constructed and one of many cotton textile mill complexes established in the growing city of Lowell, Massachusetts.
1837 - He died in his carriage at the corner of Dutton and Merrimack Streets in downtown Lowell on 11th of April.
