Booth, Felix, Sir
1775 - Born in Roydon, Essex. British distiller and promoter of Arctic exploration.
1829 - He financed Admiral John Ross' expedition, who commanded a second search expedition, and he located the north magnetic pole on Boothia Peninsula, now called Prince of Wales Island.
1850 - Died on January 24th in Brighton, Sussex.
