1873 - He was born on the 18th of October in Mantua, Italy.
1909 - He was elected to Parliament as Socialist deputy for Mantua,
1912 - He was expelled from the Socialist Party with the reform leader Leonida Bissolati for his moderate, democratic views and for his support for the Libyan war.
- Bonomi joined the Reformist Socialist group.
1920 - During World War I, he served as a volunteer and became war minister in the government of Giovanni Giolitti, negotiating the Treaty of Rapallo between Italy and Yugoslavia.
1921 - He was made prime minister in July, with a coalition government, he was unable to control fascist and socialist excesses
1922 - He resigned in February, retiring from politics after Benito Mussolini's accession to power.
1940 - He joined the anti-Fascist movement, becoming its leader.
1943 - After Mussolini's fall on the 25th of July, he headed the national committee of anti-Fascist groups.
1944 - He headed the national committee of anti-Fascist groups and, after the liberation of Rome, was designated prime minister by the National Committee of Liberation.
- Bonomi resigned on the 26th of November, only to be reinstated shortly after through the intervention of the British government.
1945 - On the 12th of June, he resigned in favour of Ferruccio Parri.
1946 - He was chairman of the Constituent Assembly's committee for treaties, he took part in the council of foreign ministers at Paris.
1951 - He died on the 20th of April in Rome.
