1954 - Born in San Antonio on the 2nd of January to Anita Arellano and Enrique A. Bonilla. A Republican member of the U. S. House of Representatives representing Texas' 23rd district.
1972 - Graduated from South San Antonio High School, San Antonio, Texas.
1976 - Received his B.A. degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
1981 - Married to Deborah JoAnn Knapp.
