Bonanno, Joseph Sr.
Born: Jan 18, 1905 AD
Died: 2002 AD, at 97 years of age.
1905 - He was born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, on the 18th of January to Salvatore Buonanno and Catarina Bonventre.
1906 - His family moved to United States and settled in Brooklyn.
1921 - He enrolled in a nautical college in Palermo.
1931 - At the age of 26, he became the youngest ever bosses of Bonanno crime family.
- He married to Fay Labruzzo and had three children.
1945 - Joseph became a naturalized citizen of America.
1964 - Bonanno was betrayed by his own enforcer, Mike Zaffarino and allegedly kidnapped by Buffalo Family members, Peter and Antonino Magaddino.
1983 - He co-wrote memoir "A Man of Honor"
- He was allowed to live in peace in a normal house in Tucson, Arizona with his family.
2002 - Joseph Bonanno died Sunday, on the 12th of May of heart failure at the age of 97.
