1897 - Born on the 11th of August at 354 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London, the eldest child of Thomas Carey Blyton, a salesman of cutlery, and Theresa Mary, née Harrison.

 

1907-1915 - Blyton studied at St. Christopher's School in Beckenham.

 

1922 - Her first book was published, Child Whispers, a collection of poems.

 

1924 - Married Major Hugh Alexander Pollock.

 

1941 - She met Kenneth Fraser Darrell Waters, a London surgeon.

 

1943 - She married Kenneth Fraser Darrell Waters at the City of Westminster.

 

1968 - She died at the Greenways Nursing Home, 11 Fellows Road, Hampstead, London, on 28th of November.

 

2007 - Rank number five of the most popular author in the world, according to the Index Translationum.
