1807 - Born on the 10th of November.

1830 - He joined a theater company in Cologne and started writing politically motivated poetry and plays.

1832 - He came in touch with humanist and liberal circles.

1839 - Blum became a leading figure in Saxony's national-liberal circles.

1845 - Organized the first German-catholic synod in Leipzig that marked the beginning of Germany's humanist free religious movement.

1848 - He was sent to Frankfurt to join the National Assembly.

         - In October Blum joined the revolutionary forces.

         - He was arrested on 4th of November and executed on 9th of November.

         - His death became a symbol for the vainness of Germany's rebellion.
