Bloom, Allan David
1930 - Born on the 14th of September in Indianapolis, Indiana. American philosopher, essayist and educator.
1949 - He finished his B.A. degree at University of Chicago.
1953 - Took his M.A. at the University of Chicago.
1955 - Finished and received his Ph.D. in Committee on Social Thought from the University of Chicago.
- Became Professor at University of Chicago.
1962 - Served as Professor at Yale University.
1963-1970 - Became Professor at Cornell University.
1979 - Professor in Committee on Social Thought, University of Chicago.
1981 - Wrote "Shakespeare's Politics" with Harry V. Jaffa.
1987 - Authored the book "The Closing of the American Mind: How Higher Education Has Failed Democracy and Impoverished the Souls of Today's Students".
1992 - He died on 7th of October of liver failure at Chicago, Illinois.
