Blake, Eugene Carson

- Educated at Princeton University and the University of Edinburgh.
1928-1929 - Served as Professor at the Forman Christian College in Lahore.
1935-1951 - He was the minister of Presbyterian churches in America.
1951-1966 - Became the stated clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church.
1954-1957 - President of National Council of Churches.
1960 - Proposed plan for united Protestant Church at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, leading to formation of Consultation on Church Union 1962.
1966-1972 - Blake was General Secretary of the World Council of Churches.
1985 - Eugene Carson Blake died on 31st of July at Stamford.
