1988 - Won gold medal in Olympic 500-meter speed skating.

1992 - Another victory in the Winter Olympics in Albertville, France in both the 500 and 1000 meters (1:21.90).

1994 - She won gold medal in Olympic 500-meter speed skating, becoming the first female to complete the race in less than 39 seconds (38.99).
